A gal has to have her “go to” items. These are often things we travel with. For me, one of the most valuable items is Matcha tea. Why? because it gives me a gentle, steady energy boost, clears my head and helps me focus. AND it’s loaded with antioxidants.
Matcha green tea possesses antioxidant levels 6.2 times that of goji berries, 7 times that of dark chocolate, 17 times that of wild blueberries and 60.5 times that of spinach!
So here’s how I drink it. In the morning I make a hot matcha latte with almond milk, a touch of maple syrup or stevia, and a dash of cinnamon. Or I just throw it into a smoothie if I’m on the run. In the afternoon, when I get that 3 pm slump, I just throw the almond milk, matcha, stevia and cinnamon in a shaker bottle with some ice and off I go. It’s absolutely brilliant. So much better than coffee. Although I love the taste of coffee, I don’t like the way it gets me wired and then suddenly drops me into a near slumber. I love love love Matcha Tea.
